What is ADAS?
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are systems that aid the driver’s experience and include sensors such as Cameras, Radars and Ultrasonic. These sensors are then used in vehicle systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Lighting, Emergency Braking and much more.
Over 4 million vehicles are fitted with ADAS systems, on UK roads, providing feedback to the driver in a variety of ways when driving risks are sensed. From passive warnings on the dashboard to active measures during the drive, these ADAS sensors are able to process events and obstacles such as lane changing or automatic braking.
Failures in any of these ADAS sensors can lead to catastrophic consequences and it is imperative that any of these sensors are re-calibrated if your vehicle has been involved in an accident or had even the smallest of repairs, from common repairs like bumper or windscreen replacement to something as simple as a supermarket bump or hitting a speed-bump too fast. For everyone’s safety, get your ADAS system re-calibrated.
Here at Drury Lane Services, we have the very latest ADAS calibration systems that have the highest number of ADAS equipped vehicles in it’s database. All of the software is kept constantly updated to ensure we keep up with all market developments and so that we ensure we always have the latest precise vehicle calibrations for your vehicle.
